1. Who we are

HDdev ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit hddev.eu or apihub.hddev.eu and when you use our WordPress modules.

The data controller is David Hennequin, trading as HDdev, Ruelle du Bal 3, 5660 Couvin, Belgium, VAT BE 0701.607.037. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with Belgian data protection law.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information (name, email, password)
• Billing information (processed securely via Stripe)
• Support requests and communications
• The messages you send to our AI assistant, and the email address you give it if you choose to

2.2 Automatically Collected

• IP address (hashed for privacy)
• Browser type and version
• The pages you visit, recorded in the web server logs

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain our services
• To process payments and manage licenses
• To send important service notifications
• To provide customer support
• To improve our products and services

The legal bases are the performance of our contract with you (account, licence, support), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, our legal obligations in accounting and tax matters, and your consent where we ask for it — for example before the AI assistant starts a conversation.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Stripe - Payment processing
• Infomaniak - Hosting and email delivery
• Anthropic - AI answers in the support assistant
• Wasabi - Cloud backup storage (if using TimeMachine)

Each of these providers acts as a processor on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.

5. AI Assistant and Transfers Outside the EU

Our support assistant is an artificial intelligence, not a human being. You are told so before the conversation starts, and you choose whether to begin it.

Your messages are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to generate an answer. This processing involves a transfer of data outside the European Union, governed by the European Commission standard contractual clauses.

Your conversations are never used to train a third-party model. The assistant never grants a refund, a discount or any other financial gesture on its own: such a request is always passed to a human being.

6. Hosting

Data is hosted by Infomaniak, in Switzerland. Switzerland is the subject of an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Article 45 GDPR): it is recognised as offering a level of data protection equivalent to that of the European Union, so this transfer requires no additional safeguard.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Until account deletion
• Billing records: 7 years (legal requirement)
• Support tickets: 3 years
• AI assistant conversations: 90 days by default, then deleted automatically
• Web server logs: 14 days

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access - Request a copy of your data
• Rectification - Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure - Request deletion of your data
• Portability - Export your data in a standard format
• Objection - Object to processing
